Restorative Breathwork Professional Training

Level III : Apprenticeship  
100 contact hours / 150 practicum hours

This individually based Apprenticeship includes a progressive series of weekend intensives, distance learning courses and a comprehensive at-home practicum. Weekend Intensives will include informal lectures, group mentoring sessions that feature diverse case studies and class discussions. These weekend intensives are primarily experiential, with a high degree of hands-on work to provide the opportunity for observation and feedback.  Each student will be assigned a mentor who will provide supervision and support during their practicum. Emphasis is on developing professional skills in facilitating individual and group Restorative Breathwork sessions.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Restorative Breathwork Professional Training Levels I & II.  All applicants must fill out an application form, submit references and participate in a one on one interview with Kathleen Barratt and/or Gabrielle Gerard to apply for this program.


Program Topics to Include:

  • Barratt Breathworks Code of Conduct
  • Working with the more subtle qualities of the breath
  • Developing language and communication skills
  • Guidelines for profiling and assessing individual needs
  • Tailoring mindfulness breathing practices to meet individual needs 
  • Presence as a primary healing tool
  • Guidelines for facilitating the "innate breath"
  • Bioenergy techniques to enhance facilitation skills

Practicum Requirements:

  • Completion of this program requires a minimum of one year and a maximum of two years
  • Attendance at assigned weekend intensives and classes
  • 100 documented Restorative Breathwork Sessions
  • Bioenergy practice: 50 documented practice hours
  • 10 teleconference and/or in-person meetings with assigned mentor 
  • 10 exchange sessions with peers
  • Receiving 10 professional Restorative Breathwork sessions
  • Completion of a project on an independent study. Topic to be approved by assigned mentor.
  • Video recorded breathwork sessions to be reviewed by assigned mentor 

Note:  Upon successful completion of this program students will receive a "Certificate of Completion." This certificate is required for enrollment in the Restorative Breathwork Completion Course.
