Restorative Breathwork
I
24 CE credits (YA)
This 24 hour course introduces the scientific and esoteric theories behind the Science of Breath. Class instruction will focus on the interrelationship between breath and energy and its dynamic influence upon consciousness as well as physical health and well being. Students will participate in a progressive series of mindfulness practices designed to awaken an inner sensitivity and awareness of the subtle qualities of the breath. Emphasis is upon developing personal skills in learning how to consciously work with the breath as a means to reduce stress and its effects upon the body and mind.
Class Topics Include:
• The rejuvenating healing power of prana, vital life energy
• The history and practice of Conscious Breathing as a subtle energy healing art
• The anatomy of breathing
• Cultivating an awareness of the subtle qualities
of the breath
• Common breathing habits and their effect
upon the body and mind
• Awakening the healing properties of the breath
• The fundamentals of yogic rhythmic breathing
Restorative
Breathwork II
24 CE credits (YA)
This 24 hour course will support students in developing basic skills
in facilitating Restorative Breathwork. Class instruction will focus
on a systematic method of approach designed to identify and dismantle
common breathing habits in others. Students will learn how to facilitate
rhythmic “diaphragmatic” breathing with emphasis on
reducing stress and its effect upon the body and mind.
Pre-requisite: Restorative I
Class Topics Include:
• Profiling common breathing habits
• Shavasana posture, modification and alignment
• Steps to guiding conscious relaxation techniques
• Keys to rhythmic “diaphragmatic” breathing
• Developing communication skills
• Presence as a primary healing tool
Note: To achieve optimal results and benefits,
students should be prepared to spend time daily on refining and
deepening their personal practice, as well as working with fellow
students and friends outside of class.
Restorative Breathwork
Internship
42 class hours
75 practicum hours
The Restorative Internship is the final and most comprehensive phase
of the Restorative Training Program. It is primarily a home study
course designed to provide professional experience as a breathwork
practitioner with supervision and support. It is a 6 month commitment
centering around two weekend workshops. These weekend workshops
include practicum sessions that feature diverse case studies, partner
work and class discussions. This program will provide the opportunity
for observation and feedback in order to deepen the student’s
capacity to facilitate breathwork sessions with confidence and sensitivity.
Pre-requisite: Restorative Breathwork II
Class Topics Include:
• Barratt Breathworks Code of Conduct
• Refining skills in conducting an intake appointment
• Strengthening skills in identifying and dismantling common
breathing habits
• Keys to facilitating a progressive sequence of Restorative
Breathwork sessions
• Timing, safeguards and integration techniques
• Refining and expanding language skills
Transpersonal Breathwork
I
28 CE credits (YA)
This 28 hour course will provide students with a basic comprehension
of the human energy system and its interrelationship with our most
intimate emotions. Class instruction will focus on combining rhythmic
breathing with specific mindfulness practices designed to cultivate
an awareness of emotional tensions buried deep within the body and
mind. Emphasis is on stimulating the flow of energy through the
human energy system as a means to uncover and transform emotional
blocks. Pre-requisite: Restorative I & II.
Class Topics Include:
• Human energy anatomy
• Untapping the healing power of our emotions
• Governing the subtle nature of prana through Conscious
Breathing
• Keys to facilitating rhythmic “complete” breathing
• Meditation and mindfulness techniques
• Sadhana, purification and self responsibility

students should be prepared to spend time daily on refining and
deepening their personal practice, as well as working with fellow
students and friends outside of class.
Transpersonal Breathwork
II
28 CE credits (YA)
This 28 hour course will provide a deeper comprehension of the inner
workings of the human energy system. Class instruction will focus
on learning how to facilitate the more subtle qualities of the breath
as a means to stimulate energy flow within a specific chakra. Emphasis
is upon deepening the process of emotional healing through the yogic
practice of “Chakra Breathing”. Pre-requisite: Transpersonal
Breathwork I.
Class Topics Include:
• Understanding the subtle body as a field of conscious
energy
• The theory, philosophy and psychology of the chakra system
• Fundamentals of “Chakra Breathing”
• Facilitating pranic purification
• Imaging and dialoging techniques
• Refining and deepening communication and language skills

students should be prepared to spend time daily on refining and
deepening their personal practice, as well as working with fellow
students and friends outside of class.
Transpersonal
Breathwork Internship
42 class hours
100 practicum hours
The Transpersonal Internship is the final and most comprehensive
phase of the Transpersonal Training Program. It is primarily a home
study course designed to provide professional experience as a breathwork
practitioner with supervision and support. It is a 9 month commitment
centering around three weekend workshops. These weekend workshops
include practicum sessions that feature diverse case studies, partner
work and class discussions. This program will provide the opportunity
for observation and feedback to deepen the student’s capacity
to facilitate breathwork sessions with confidence and sensitivity.
Pre-requisite: Transpersonal Breathwork II
Class Topics Include:
• Strengthening skills in identifying and dismantling more
complex breathing habits and their energetic imbalances
• Keys to facilitating a progressive sequence of both Restorative
and Transpersonal Breathwork sessions
• Deepening skills in facilitating an “edge”
• Facilitating the innate breath
• Refining and expanding imaging and dialoging techniques
• Expanding skills in facilitating guided meditation
Professional Certification
Course
14 Hours
This 14 hour Professional Certification Course offers formal certification
in Restorative and/or Transpersonal Breathwork. Testing consists
of hands-on facilitation, essays and objective exams. Primary testing
will be given through a series of practical exams based on diverse
case studies in an open clinic atmosphere. Upon successful completion,
students will receive formal certification.
Pre-requisite: Successful completion of the Restorative and /or
Transpersonal Internship Program.
